1 AIA LU/HSW

Program Description:

This program explores the innovative potential of metal building systems in modern architectural design. Attendees will gain insight into the advantages of high-performance metal building systems compared to traditional construction methods. Participants will evaluate the inherent efficiencies of metal buildings, including streamlined design, accelerated construction timelines, and sustainability benefits.

Learning Objectives:

Identify and recognize the characteristics of high-performance metal building systems

as compared to traditional construction.

Investigate the design potential to create low-rise, nonresidential buildings

of all types that use metal building packages or metal building components

integrated with traditional construction.

Assess the inherent efficiencies in design, construction, and sustainability

by using a metal building.

Design buildings of all types using a metal building system or components that

break the perception of limitations for their use.
