Sarah Gudeman is a professional mechanical engineer with close to two decades of expertise in energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, sustainability, and wellness. A Principal and Building Science Practice Lead at BranchPattern in Omaha, NE, Sarah also loves to volunteer her time towards educational endeavors and community service (current favorites include the LEED EQ Technical Advisory Group and Steering Committee, and serving on the Board for Fontenelle Forest in her hometown). An active contributor to industry advancement, Sarah regularly speaks, writes, and presents on a variety of building science topics. She is a holder of numerous professional certifications and credentials and possesses a strong commitment to society with a dedication to helping organizations, developers, and designers of commercial real-estate understand and improve the environmental and social impact of their assets. Sarah's achievements have been acknowledged with the distinction of LEED Fellow, Leadership Omaha Class 45, the Sr. Marcella Alumni Leadership Award, and being named both a “20 to Watch: Women in HVAC” and a “40 Under 40” winner. Sarah is also proud to volunteer in her community through several mentoring programs, especially Teammates, and is committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders in STEM and sustainability.
